Extra-Subjectivity, the first installment of the “New Concepts in Post-Identitarian Thought” conference series, took place at the University of Bern in December 1-2 2013. The conference was organized in cooperation with the Distinguished Lecture Series 2013 “Hybridity and/as Contingency” and supported by the Center for Cultural Studies (CCS) of the University of Bern and the CUSO Doctoral Program in English Language and Literature.

The organic development of the theme also in this year’s conference seeks to establish a research platform for a fruitful and ongoing conversation to be pursued also in the future around the problematic concept of community.
